In memory of Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh, my "No Shit, No Flowers" design is a lighthearted version of a classic Buddhist lesson, "No mud, No lotus." Unlike toxic positivity's insistence that "everything happens for a reason," or that "everything is part of God's plan," this teaching acknowledges that shit is still shit, garbage is still garbage, but it's in our power to transform it into fertilizer.
